About the Mass of Clare: The Mass of Clare was composed by Stephen Kirk during time spent travelling around Ireland, and particularly County Clare, with his father in 2016. It was composed with the desire to capture something of the spirit of the land and people of Ireland; a place where faith runs deep.

About the Resource Kit: In this kit you will find everything you need to be able to use the Mass of Clare, including: • Full recordings: useful for reference, for listening, and even for use in your masses if you don’t have musicians or singers. It should be noted that the audio recordings are in the key of D to facilitate the use of traditional Irish instruments, whereas the sheet music is in the key of C to facilitate congregational singing; • Instrumental recordings: useful as reference or musicians, or for use in your masses if you don’t have musicians; • Sheet music for all mass parts: Provided as PDF files to allow you to print out as many copies as you need for use within your parish/ school/community; • Powerpoints with the melodies: useful when teaching a congregation the mass setting; and • The sheet music is also provided as Sibelius files, to allow you to transpose, arrange, etc. as required.
